I designed and built a new lamp.

Inspired by geodes and their rock-like exterior but crystal interior, I created a reveal when walking up to this lamp. I used the lamp not only to emit light but to create a cave-like environment and depth to a light source. The light is used to emphasis contour curves.

I designed the lamp in Rhino and built it by laser cutting sheets of plywood. I carefully designed a hidden cutout slot for the bulb.
