I designed and built a chair originating from a set of rules.

I made three units, each starting with a 6" piece of wood that increased by 0.5" and spiraled upward. Each unit could not stand alone, but when slid into each other, they formed a chair.

I started with sketches, designed in Rhino, made mini models of various concepts, and then built the full scale design.
